Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared to Juan Diego, an indigenous person in Mexico. She appears to him as a pregnant woman with all the markings of an Aztec. This was a sign that the Christian faith is not just a European religion, but is a religion that is for the indigenous people of Mexico and the Americas as well. We come together in prayer and thanksgiving for this miracle and for the grace and love of Our Lady.
